Our Youth Ministry is blessed to have a great place to meet and the youth call their own, the Bryan Youth Center. The facility is the home for our youth Sunday school, UMYF, and all Youth activities. It is located directly behind the church on the corner of Mill and Westbrook Streets.
Youth Sunday School - This class meets at 9:45 am at the Bryan Youth Center. Currently we are using a curriculum called “LinC” which looks at current events and helps us connect the Bible and faith to what is going on around us.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) - meets on Sundays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm at the Bryan Youth Center.
Sundays - Supper is provided before the youth play a game or activity. Then the youth praise band "CrossEyed" leads the group in worship. Our Sunday night Bible Study is meant to be discussion based to help facilitate the youth in thinking through what the Bible teaches and how it applies to their lives. Beginning in the Fall we will start at the book of Genesis and walk through the major events in the Bible. This will hopefully help us gain a better knowledge of the Bible while also helping us to view God's word as one continuous story of His love and plan of salvation for His people.
Wednesdays - The Wednesday night activities vary from week to week. On the first and third Wednesdays of every month the youth participate in an outreach project. At least once a month we go to the Sally Kate Winters Children's Home where we play a game and have a devotional with the children. On the other Wednesdays of the month the activities vary from playing Ultimate Frisbee to painting pottery.
