“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” –Psalms 100

Music has a unique way of touching many different lives.  The power and majesty of God, the loving and forgiving Savior, and the gentle and inspiring Holy Spirit are manifested in hymns and spiritual songs.

The music ministry at FUMC is very strong and offers many opportunities for everyone to find a place. Participating in the music ministry is a way that one can serve their church. There are several different choirs for all ages. These groups meet in the Beulah K. Flowers Music Suite located on the third floor in room #300.

Adult Chancel Choir - This choir meets each Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.  They perform a wide variety of music.  Several members participate in sextets, ensembles, trios and solos.  The Choir participates in the 10:55 am worship services of the Church and in special services throughout the year.

Singspirations Choir - This senior adult choir meets every other Thursday mornings at 9:30 am, September through May.  This group  performs for the residents of the Dugan Memorial Nursing Home several times throughout the year.

Handbell Choir - This choir meets on Wednesdays at 5:45 pm.  They perform in the 10:55 am worship service at least quarterly.

Children’s Music - Choirs for the children are offered on Sunday afternoons from September to May.  The Joyful Noise Choir is for children PreK through 1st grade.  They meet each Sunday afternoon from 4:30-5:00 PM.  The Jammin' for Jesus Choir is for children in grades 2nd through 6th.  They meet each Sunday afternoon from 5:15-6:00 PM.

Judy Staggers is the Director of Music.  Polly Grimes is the organist,  Pat Ausborn is the pianist, and Parker McClellan is the Children’s Choir assistant.
